A loss against Los Angeles Knight Riders, followed by a dominant display in a washed out encounter against Washington Freedom, has meant that Texas Super Kings are yet to register a victory in the ongoing Major League Cricket. To make matters worse, as they prepare to face San Fransico Unicorns, there isn't good news awaiting. Spells of rain and cloudy skies are predicted yet again for Wednesday's encounter.

While Devon Conway backed up his half-century with another good show with the bat against Freedom, what would please Super Kings for now is the form of the other batters around him. Faf du Plessis's commanding century, backed up by Marcus Stoinis's blitz are good signs for the Texas side even amidst the rain and the shared points.

Unicorns, on the other hand, picked up an early win in the season courtesy Matthew Short and Finn Allen's blazing half-centuries, but with rain expected to play spoilsport on Wednesday, they might be forced to wait slightly longer to clinch their second win of the season.

When: Wednesday, July 10, 2024, 3:00 PM (Local Time)

Where: San Fransico Unicorns, Texas Super Kings, Church Street Park, Morrisville

What to expect: Rain. Maybe a short spell, maybe longer. If play is possible, at all, expect a tough time for the batters and fielders.

Team News:

Texas Super Kings: Gerald Coetzee has been ruled out of the tournament after having suffered a side strain in the game against Trinbago Knight Riders

Probable XI: Devon Conway, Faf du Plessis, Aaron Hardie, Marcus Stoinis, Milind Kumar, Calvin Salvage, Dwayne Bravo, Joshua Tromp, Mohammad Mohsin, Naveen ul Haq, Zia ul Haq

San Francisco Unicorns: Given their commanding performance in the previous game, they are likely to stick to the same XI.

Probable XI: Finn Allen, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Matthew Short, Josh Inglis, Corey Anderson, Hassan Khan, Sanjay Krishnamurthy, Brody Couch, Liam Plunkett, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed
